Since 2018, Civitates is proud to have supported more than 70 organisations all over Europe.

Our mix of core and project grants has enabled our grantee partners not only to develop as organisations but also to initiate activities (i.e. campaigns, research, advocacy, etc…) that have an impact on the lives of millions of Europeans.

BEUC is the umbrella group for 45 independent consumer organisations from 32 countries. BEUC’s main role is to represent them to the EU institutions and defend the interests of European consumers.

Bits of Freedom shapes the internet in support of an open and just society though legal, technical and political work. Their team includes lawyers, technical researchers, campaigners and researchers. Their work is both at national and EU level.

The Britain Yearly Meeting consists of CSOs from different sectors, including faith based, international development, environment and housing. It challenges the shrinking space for civil society through an advocacy strategy and public debate.

Agility Squad is a coalition involving over 100 NGOs which researches, debates and develops an action plan to coordinate NGOs’ efforts to address the anti-NGO smear campaign in Bulgaria, as well as the issue of the shrinking space more generally.

CEE Digital Democracy Watch provides decision makers with expertise on digital regulation and freedom of expression, monitoring elections in the online sphere. They do so through policy processes within Poland, the EU, the OECD, and the G20.

Centre for Democracy and Technology (CDT EUROPE) promotes and protects democracy and human rights in European tech law and policy. They work on key legislation in the EU, and form broad coalitions to raise the voices of those most impacted by tech policies.

The CILD-led coalition increases the advocacy, media skills and visibility of new and existing leaders and CSOs in Italy within the media, enabling them to proactively defuse the power of negative narratives by flooding the space with positive ones.

CIReN, founded by Greek and Turkish Cypriot journalists, is a pioneering investigative journalism organisation exposing interconnected corruption across Cyprus. It unites journalists from divided communities to produce impactful investigations.

FGU is an independent platform with a network of Bulgarian NGOs and other members who strengthen citizens’ and CSOs’ participation in political decision-making through research, analysis and opinion.
